Open Videos
![]() The new SportsCAD Open dialog box supports scrolling through your list of videos, and also has the ability to drag and drop the videos into the Video Windows below.
There are 3 ways to activate the Open dialog box. Click the icon circled in red on the Play Bar (pic 1 below), double click in any open Video Window (pic 2 below), or click the icon circled in red on the Menu Bar (pic 3 below).
You will see the "three black box" setup (items 10, 11 and 12) throughout different areas of the program. This is a very simple way of controlling multiple databases of videos. To open videos, you first choose the database in the Select Database list box (item 10), then you choose from the students in that database in the list box named Select Student (item 11), then finally you choose from the videos of that student in the list box named Select Video (item 12). Alternatively you can use the arrows (item 5) to switch between the available videos for the student you have chosen, or you can click directly on the video to select it. Now you can drag and drop the video it into any video window (or double click the video load it into the next available video window).
You will also notice that after you select a video to analyze, the Open Dialog window does not close automatically. It is designed to allow you to choose as many videos as you like without having to be opened more than once. When you are finished loading your amateur and model videos, simply click the Close button (item 8).
1) Double click on an empty window (item 15) to activate the Open dialog box. 2) Select your database (item 10) and Student (item 11) if not already selected for you. 3) Select a screen mode to get started (item 3) if you want more than one video loaded up. 4) Move your mouse over any Preview Video (item 1) and drag and drop it into any Video Window below (item 15). 5) Click the Close and Continue button to close the Open dialog window.
Tip 1: Use the scrollbar to scroll through your list of videos if there are too many to fit on the screen. Tip 2: Double click on a Preview Video (item 1) to load it into the Video Window (item 15). Tip 3: Right click on a Preview Video (item 1) to play it. Tip 4: Click in ANY blank space between the Preview Videos (item 1) and Video Window (item 15) to close the Open Dialog window.
